Hope you have a great time! Didn't realize you would be gone for so long! Looking fwd to the updates! Lora
ReplyDeleteGreat meeting you guys & Gaby in Nepal. Here are (names corrected)of a couple places worth hitting on the SE Asia leg of your trip....
ReplyDeleteMost of the bakeries in Vietnam – the French left behind the recipes
Red Bridge Cooking School in Hoi An, Vietnam....fun for non-cooks as well. Hope the Vietnamese chef with the heavy German accent is teaching ...which might be as entertaining as the food.
Blue Pumpkin (thought it was Blue Frog) in Siem Reap, Cambodia – best omelettes … not like India’s. Siem Reap was a trip highlight - plan on 2 nights. Lots of restaurnats.
Dead Fish Tower in Siem Reap – I didn’t eat here but unique multi-level restaurant…unique for anywhere.
Vientiane, Laos – Cool Waffles – it’s not worth a trip but they’re pretty good – hot waffle with melted chocolate inside…served from a cart. Located in the shopping mall (yes, mall, not market) on the east side of town on a major (paved!) road. As long as I’m recommending cart food – crapes from the street vendors.
Enjoy the trip!
